Can't get my MCE remote working.

Hi all,

I've been following various HowTos trying to get my MCE remote working, but
still no luck.
The MCE remote came with an HP Media Center PC m7277c

I'm compiling lirc-8.0.0 from source.

./setup.sh, I choose USB, and (h) - MCE new version.
make; make install
sudo modprobe lirc_mceusb2
sudo lircd
sudo irw

I start pressing buttons on my remote, and nothing happens!  Can anyone tell
me where I'm going wrong?
