Help! I'm running kernel '2.6.14-gentoo-r5'. I've configured/compiled the=20 kernel with <*> USB Human Interface Device (full HID) support =E2=94=82 =E2=94=82[*] /dev/hiddev raw HID device support This message is displayed from 'dmesg': usbcore: registered new driver hiddev hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [DVICO DVICO USB HID Remocon V1.00] on=20 usb-0000:00:0b.0-2 usbcore: registered new driver usbhid drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.6:USB HID core driver I downloaded lirc, untar'red it, chose the USB DVICO device, compile norm= ally, did a make install, and get this as 'version' info: lircd 0.8.0pre4 I run /usr/local/sbin/lircd --driver=3Ddvico --device=3D/dev/usb/hiddev0 = --nodaemon=20 in and in another window, and run /usr/local/bin/irw. =20 This is the output from the lircd window: /usr/local/sbin/lircd --driver=3Ddvico --device=3D/dev/usb/hiddev0 --noda= emon lircd: lircd(H=3D) ready lircd: accepted new client on H=3D lircd: initializing '(null)' lircd: removed client lircd: closing '(null)' And of course, no output is detected by irw... The 'null' seems to be t= he problem? =20 I run ' irrecord --device=3D/dev/usb/hiddev0 --driver=3Ddvico /etc/lircd.= conf' and it would appear that my IR receiver is detecting something.. T= hhe 'lircd.conf' is for a Fusion remote that I found somewhere....' Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? |
