It didnt exist after installing the rpms. When I run lircd, this is in /var/log/messages: Jan 17 23:15:31 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[2980]: lircd(userspace) ready When I run irw, this is what happens: Jan 17 23:16:07 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[2980]: accepted new client on /dev/lircd Jan 17 23:16:07 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[2980]: could not open /dev/lirc Jan 17 23:16:07 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[2980]: default_init(): No such device Jan 17 23:16:07 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[2980]: caught signal If I try irrecord after restarting lircd: Jan 17 23:18:02 hondapvr1 lircd-0.8.0-CVS[3005]: lircd(userspace) ready Jan 17 23:18:07 hondapvr1 irrecord: could not open /dev/lirc Jan 17 23:18:07 hondapvr1 irrecord: default_init(): No such device The program doesn't run at all. As I mentioned earler, I attempted to compile from the latest snapshot, and had similar results. I am really frustrated, so some guidance would be greatly appreciated! |
