Hello, I'm having problems sending key events to Firefox using irxevent. The issue is trying to get the correct window name in the "config" attribute of the lircrc file. If I use CurrentWindow, then it works fine, however in the system I need each button to behave differently depending on which application has the focus. In the man page for irxevent, it mentions that the name can be the first few characters, or the icon name. Unfortunately, Firefox changes both the name and icon to "Website - Firefox". I guess I need a way of matching the last characters of the title?! Now what is strange is that when you first open Firefox with no page displayed, xwininfo does say its title is "Firefox" however the following config still doesn't work: begin prog = irxevent button = Menu config = Key alt-f Focus Firefox end Again, if I change the config to "Key alt-f CurrentWindow" it all works fine. Has anybody else had similar problems, if so how did you solve them? My system is running Debian SID. Regards, Chris. |
