Hi, thanks for the reply. I have got a long way since then, thanks to Christoph, I selected the lircd.conf.imon-rsc config file and now I am getting the events from all butons and the pad in irw as expected. I have set up lircrc (for mythtv) and this works nicely (if anyone wants a copy of my lircrc let me know.. the only thing is I have mapped channel change to pad up and down and at the moment there are many events with no repeat count set - not good :) I have one problem though - events are not always received and some of the time things hang for a while before starting to work again. Any idea why this may be? I have tried all the obvious things - batteries in remote(!) loading - nicing lirc etc yet it's still intermittent. If I get a freeze and restart irw it works OK and mode2 always shows events so I guess its in lirc somewhere. I am also getting loads of debug in syslog (messages) even though debug is definitely off and i'm not using -D , I don't know if it's related. Has anyone seen behaviour like this and has some suggestions as to what I can do? Incidentally, I tried applying the patch and using http://stuff.wishie.net/lircd.conf but then I did not receive any events. please help cheers Alan wi...@ii... wrote: >Quoting AlanM <gr...@da...>: > > > >>ast. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=7477&alloc_id=16492&op=click >> >> >> > >Are you SURE its a Imon-Multimedian remote ? if its the latest ones, then that >is an IMON 'PAD' remote, and right now, requires patching of lirc and a >different config file.. > >The patch can be found at: http://stuff.wishie.net/lirc-imon-pad.patch >My lircd.conf for the remote can be found at http://stuff.wishie.net/lircd.conf > >The above patch (for lirc 0.7.1) allows the 'PAD' to be used for >up/down/left/right movements.
