Has the driver loaded successfully and found your iMON device? Check the syslog output. Subject: lirc with imon Hi!, I'm new to the list and perhaps this topic has been treated in the list. Sorry if I repeat the question. Recently I have purchased a Silverstone LC11M case wich come with a VFD, IR, remote control and imon media center soft. In the silverstone page there is a link to the Venky page that explains how to set up lirc with imon support and lcdproc. I have tried it without luck. I have loaded the lirc_dev and lirc_imon modules correctly and the /dev/lirc device has been created in the make install of lirc. I start lircd without parameters and is running but when I type mode2 I get always: error opening /dev/lirc No such device If I delete /dev/lirc, uninstall lircd and make install again /dev/lirc is created again. What can be the problem? Why if I compile lirc with --with-driver=imon and after type: lircd -H ? only view the default driver available? If I compile with --with-driver=any in the available driver list I don't see imon!! bte creative ... uirt2 uirt2_raw I always execute make uninstall and make clean before compiling and installing again to prevent old configuration and binaries conflicts. The next step is configure LCDproc with the lirc driver (lircin?) to a future use with VDR. But I think if lirc is not running properly I don't obtain lcdproc run ok with the lircin drivers. I have tried it building lirc from the source code from the cvs and from the last stable. Thanks a lot.
