Thanks, I found the problem though. Apparantly, with the new 2.6 kernels, you need to run make on the source in /usr/src/linux in order to get all the extra files setup correctly. I was still accustomed to just running 'make dep' with the older 2.4 kernels. -Rob > On Mon, Dec 27, 2004 at 02:24:55PM -0500, Robert Dege wrote: > > > > I'm attempting to compile the lirc source on my Fedora Core 3 system, but > > am running into continuous problems. > > [cut] > > > I found the missin files in the /lib/modules/$(KERNEL_VERSION) directory, > > but I can't figure out how to get make to acknowledge that directory so > > that it can access the correct files. > > ./configure --with-kerneldir=/lib/modules/$(KERNEL_VERSION)/build/ > <other options go here> > > should work. > > armijn > > -- > --------------------------------------------------------------------------- > ar...@uu... | http://www.uulug.nl/ | UULug: Utrecht Linux Users Group > --------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Dege As seen on bash.org: The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself? |
