Debian package for 0.7 and kernel 2.6?

Hello,

I tried to create a Debian package (.deb) from lirc 0.7.0pre6 but did 
not succeed.

Has anyone made successful attempts and could provide me with a source 
package?

I need to compile Lirc on one machine and install on another.
