Here's an example: I find I don't need to do this (lirc 0.6.6), presumably because of the inclusion of --with-devdir. Obviously I must use the binaries from /usr/local/lirc-xmit/bin, though. > Now if only my cable box would consistently pick up what I transmit... > <sigh> My Expressvu picks up my Actisys quite reliably, and my Expressvu is even more finicky about pulse timings (so I have my kernel compiled with HZ=1000). My channel changing script inserts a small delay between key sends, or otherwise the Expressvu receiver ignores all the keys except the first. It looks like this: #!/bin/bash for digit in `echo $1 | sed 's/\(.\)/\1 /g'`; do /usr/local/lirc-xmit/bin/rc SEND_ONCE d6 $digit usleep 50000 done /usr/local/lirc-xmit/bin/rc SEND_ONCE d6 cancel Maybe the timing is part of your problem -- or maybe not. :) Cheers, Jason. -- Jason Tackaberry :: ta...@au... :: 705-949-2301 x330 Academic Computing Support Specialist Information Technology Services Algoma University College :: www.auc.ca |
