at the moment, my efforts to build an SH toolchain using the absolute latest GNU components have led me here: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=24445 if people want to play, i've attached the current version of my "mini.sh" shell script, which is a thoroughly stripped version of dan kegel's "crosstool" script, but has the basic functionality to take the selected tarballs and try to build a toolchain. (ok, the actual last step is missing, but it's the second last step -- building glibc -- that's failing, so if someone can get past that, i'll add the last part to finish the actual toolchain construction.) the script is (i believe) pretty straightforward so if you want to play, go wild. (in fact, it should be appropriate for any type of toolchain, not just SH.) comments welcome. also, i've attached the minimal directory of patches you need just for SH for the time being. if you can make progress past that bugzilla bug, i'm all ears. rday p.s. you can probably tell that i've made no effort to support legacy builds. life is short. |
