PTP can run over any IP network, however there is little point in
attempting to run PTP on a network that has as much non deterministic
latency as a WiFi network.

I would suggest using an Ethernet connected GM, and having WiFi clients
connect via (one or more) WiFi APs (Access Points) that connect using an
Ethernet "backbone".to the GM
