LInux Air Combat Version 8.59 has completed Beta Testing and has been promoted to Production status. Accordingly, you can now find it in the usual location within the "Files" page of our sourceforge.net site according to the established pattern.

Version 8.59 has EXCACTLY the same features as Version 8.58, but it is installed in the global /usr filesystem instead of the user's ~home filesystem. Accordingly, installation of Version 8.59 requires "root" privileges. Although anybody with the root password can install and use Version 8.59, it is primarily intended for repository installation or as a regular component in new desktop LINUX distros.
