Here's a YouTube video clip showing the latest live beta test of this new Linux Air Combat AppImage version 8.81, captured 03Aug2021 just a few hours after it was released for beta testing:
I captured this video on my 10 year-old desktop PcLinuxOS desktop Linux system with nVidia graphics. Hank was using a laptop with Intel Integrated graphics and Celeron processor running Ubunty. Both of us enjoyed smooth flight with framerates around 60 FPS. As you can see, this version 8.81 is doing VERY well in our early beta testing. (We've also had success on a Manjaro machine.)

This is an AppImage version, compatible with almost all modern desktop LINUX distros running in X86 hardware, so you won't need to compile it.
