I just released new Linux Air Combat version 8.75 for beta testing. This new version is identical to version 8.73 (released for beta testing last week) but it fixes two long-standing bugs related to the trajectories of bombs and rockets. Under all previous versions, the trajectories of bombs and rockets were influenced by the pilot's maneuvers after ordnance release. Consequently, ordnance accurately aimed at the desired target would miss that target unless the player continued to fly in a straight line until ordnance impact. Now that these bugs have been fixed, pilots can make violent, immediate defensive or offensive maneuvers after releasing bombs or rockets without corrupting the path of ordnance already in flight.

Please discontinue your testing of version 8.73 and switch to version 8.75. Further details and download link here:

We are ABANDONING this version 8.75 of Linux Air Combat because we discovered an important bug that paralyzed "bots"! That bug is fixed in version 8.77 (which also inherited all of the new features and fixes from 8.75). Beta testers should upgrade to version 8.77 as soon as possible.
