As our small online crowd evolves, we sometimes find it best to change the time of our main weekly gatherings in order to accommodate the needs of the majority. That time has come again.
We are changing our main weekly online gathering. Hereafter we will have TWO Thursday gatherings as follows:
1 of 2: 12:30 Zulu time. (That's 7:30AM USA Eastern, 6:30AM USA Central, 5:30AM USA Mountain, and 4:30AM USA Pacific. It's also 7:30 PM in the Philippine Islands.
2 of 2: 23:00 Zulu time (That's 6:00 PM USA Eastern, 5:00 PM USA Central, 4:00 PM USA Mountain, and 3:00 PM USA Pacific. It's 6:00 AM Friday mornings in the Philippine Islands.
These gatherings usually attract a small online group of players, flying in a single mission for about 2 hours (sometimes less, sometimes longer).
It's usually best to activate mumble for voice communication BEFORE activating LAC.
While our online community is small, we tend to use the "root" channel of our mumble server at LinuxAirCombat.com to coordinate our gathering and flying via voice communication. We generally remain in the root channel even while we are flying the chosen mission. It's generally simpler to disable LAC's "Auto Mumble Management" to prevent it from switching mumble out of the "root" channel.
When special situations demand use of other channels, everybody can mutually negotiate an agreement to activate LAC's Auto Mumble Management in order to switch to unique channels for each combination of Realm and Mission.
It's easy to toggle LAC's "Auto Mumble Management" on and off by pressing the "a" key in flight, as discussed HERE:
Although these weekly Thursday online gatherings tend to attract the most robust attention from our small online community, you can generally find at least one or two players monitoring the root channel of our mumble server at LinuxAirCombat.com all the time. These are LAC's true fanatics, and they frequently help newcomers. Give them a shout and expect to have a grand time learning about LAC with them. This is discussed further here:
Dear Mr. @bbosen, or may I call you Robert here ...
There's an error in the times that we'll do on these two (new)users gatherings playing Linux Air Combat : For the first gathering, my time will be 02:30 PM (I'm 2 hours in front of Zulu Time) !
And for the second gathering, my time is 01:00 AM, but I have a vacation now and I'll be joining
both Gatherings . See you then, everybody !

It was good flying with you last Thursday Henk. With you, me, Craig, Savannah, and Sierra, we had five players on three separate continents all connecting through our New York server, and a very satisfying experience. Thanks for your patience with the two very young players. They enjoyed the things you demonstrated and taught!
