After 3 years of intensive development, Linux Air Combat Version 5.64 has now reached the point where I consider the design and functional coding phases to be complete. I will continue to "tweak" the flight models and improve the aircraft model appearance, but I do NOT plan to add any more major new features until a year or so of community online experience reveals some new direction. Many thanks to those that helped with beta testing and provided 3ds aircraft models.
Our little "LAC" community is now centered on our "Mumble" server at LinuxAirCombat.com, where those wishing to fly with other LAC users just "hang out" in the "root" channel. (This does require patience, as the community is still small. It's best to bring a friend with you.) Authentication and authorization to use this server is easily obtained. Just configure your free Mumble client with the usual "Public-Key Certificate" mechanism according to Mumble's usual setup.
Note that we have switched our main LAC server. Instead of the old development server at BoseNet.no-ip.biz, everybody should now be using the new production server at LinuxAirCombat.com, UDP port 51100. Edit your ~/home/.LAC/LacConfig.txt file as necessary if you haven't already made that change.
