Here's a copy of LacControls.txt set up to use the Logitech "Dual Action" USB Console Game Controller with the controls mapped as show above, with some special, additional enhancements triggered by the two "hidden" buttons activated by pressing in on the two axis handles:
Store that file in your hidden .LAC folder as "LacControls.txt" to activate it. Note that it requires LAC V8.44 or later. That version is currently undergoing beta test at the time of this writing in late Feb2021. It is scheduled for release on 01Mar2021.

I just uploaded some brief video clips to YouTube showing how to configure any Console Game Controller for use with LAC, using the Logitech "Dual-Action" USB Console Game Controller as the primary example. Here are the links:
I just got LAC's AppImage working on Valve's new "Steam Deck" portable gaming console! Here's a picture showing the way I mapped the Steam Deck controls for use with our combat flight simulator:
LAC runs nicely in the Steam Deck's "Console Mode", which is based on Arch Linux. After running LAC's AppImage at least once in Console Mode, you will find a new, hidden folder named ".LAC" in your home directory, exactly as if you were running LAC on Arch Linux. Within that .LAC folder, you'll find a file named "LacControls.txt". The default information (resulting from a generic LAC not compiled specifically for Steam Deck) in that file doesn't map the Steam Deck Controls very nicely. In order to get the controls mapped as shown above, you'll want to replace that LacControls.txt file with THIS version:
Don't try LAC on your Steam Deck just yet.... As I have begun testing it, I can see a few problems. LAC runs nicely, but the control mapping needs more work. I will create a new LAC forum entitled "Steam Deck and LAC" where I will discuss the various little issues as I discover and fix them.

As of this writing in Dec2022, LAC Version 8.95 is now published in a special version for the Valve Steam Deck, and all of the controls are mapped very nicely as shown here:
Hereafter you should always be able to download the latest SteamDeck version here:

Make sure you've named the file "LacControls.txt" (NOT LacControls.SteamDeck.txt).
Thereafter, when you run LAC from your Steam Deck's Console Mode command prompt, you'll be able to use the Deck's controls as shown above!

I have created the new "Steam Deck" forum for LAC as anticipated in the prior posting of this thread. Here's the link:
