Here is another PlayList, also from Sep2020, showing exactly how we got LAC compiled and running on a brand-new Ubuntu Desktop Linux system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9PVC5swHfQ&list=PL1IYes9MY6lKfB0wA4w7Pqy1l53vC4vj2Note: Since publishing those video clips about compiling LAC on Ubuntu, we have learned a few things from Daniel Barland. The method described in those video clips requires installation of the free, well-known "CodeBlocks" Integrated Development Environment. If you don't want to do that, you might consider making the little Makefile changes described in this thread from our "Ubuntu and LAC" forum:
HERE is a YouTube PlayList from 2024 with a series of brief clips that comprehensively demonstrate EXACTLY how I downloaded, installed, configured, optimized, enhanced, and ran a recent version of LAC and a recent version of the optional, new text-based "LacMenuLauncher":
That PlayList includes details on integrating LAC and the LacMenuLauncher into the main menus of my desktop LINUX system, giving me easy, one-click access.

Here's a YouTube video clip showing how to upgrade an existing LAC to the latest, greatest version. It shows how we use the simple "make" command to compile and how we use the "install.sh" script to re-install. A good resource for learning about our compiling and installing process even if it's your first time through those steps.
(...Since the primary focus of that clip was to aid people that already had LAC upgrade to a later version, it does not mention any of the "prerequisite" software packages.)

We have published several YouTube video clips and PlayLists showing successful compilation on various LINUX systems.
Here is a YouTube Playlist from Nov2020 showing exactly how we got LAC compiled and running on a brand-new PcLinuxOs desktop LINUX system (the techniques we used will work on most other desktop LINUX distros too):

Here is a PlayList from Sep2020 showing exactly how we got LAC compiled and running on a brand-new Debian desktop LINUX system:

Update from Nov2022: We recommend using "CodeBlocks" to compile LAC on modern Ubuntu desktop LINUX, as described here:
https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxaircombat/discussion/ubuntuandlac/thread/bdabd60d2d/
Here is one, from Feb2020, for MX LINUX, showing how to use our simple "Makefile" to compile LAC without any need for the "Codeblocks" integrated development environment:

Here is a page documenting LAC compilation on a Raspberry Pi from July of 2020:

Here is an old one showing early success under LINUX "Mint":
