Since about May of 2023 we've had several reports that LAC's menus stop working after the latest patches and updates are applied to Manjaro desktop LINUX and LINUX Mint (and probably some others). Sometimes this problem has disappeared after another update and then subsequently reappeared after yet another update.
We really don't know what is happening here.
To help you out, we've just released new version Lac09p37 (aka "LAC9.37" or just "LAC937").
It is easy to have a great time with this version of LAC without ever using the menus. To configure LAC and to select aircraft, teams, and missions, any combination of two newly enhanced techniques can be used at your discretion. Those two techniques are:
1 of 2: You can edit the LacConfig.txt file. This is LAC's main configuration file, and it's always been located in a new, hidden folder named ".LAC" beneath your home folder. Recently we've enhanced it a bit so you can now designate a "DefaultMission". If you take that step, LAC will automatically cruise through its menus quickly, to activate the designated mission, without ever pausing to demand that you ever click on any menu items. In addition to this new ability to designate a DefaultMission, the LacConfig.txt file has always let you configure everything else you might ever need in order to optimize performance on your hardware and to designate a Realm, Mission, Team, and aircraft.
2 of 2: You can launch LAC from a bash shell, using enhanced command-line options. With the enhancements of version 9.37, you can easily inovke LAC by typing "lac", and you can follow that with as many as three additional command-line arguments to designate your DefaultAircraft, your desired Team affiliation (Red or Blue), and your DefaultMission.
You can learn how to find and edit the LacConfig.txt file HERE:
Update from Oct/Nov2023: We've added a third (easier) tool for LAC users whose menus no longer respond to user input: the "LAC Menu Launcher". This is an alternative set of LAC menus that DON'T suffer from the mysterious incompatibilities that have recently troubled some LAC users after updating their LINUX desktop systems. Learn about it here:

And you can learn how to take full advantage of LAC's command line by issuing the following command:
lac -help
All of this is discussed, in greater detail, in our online ChangeLog web page here:

Within that ChangeLog, you'll find the best description of this situation in the documentation for version Lac09p36.
