Hi all, I'm about to purchase a couple of cameras and my provider is offering me the DFK 31AF03 by The Imaging Source. This camera is not yet on Damien's list [1] but some similar models are. I've contacted the manufacturer to check for IIDC compliancy. Assuming the camera is IIDC-compliant, I'm now worried about something I've seen while looking at the specs: 1024x768 UYVY @ 15, 7.5, 3.75 fps 1024x768 BY8 @ 30, 15, 7.5, 3.75 fps I read that as 15fps max capture rate in UYVY mode, and 30fps in BY8 mode. We need 30fps as we're using this cameras for video capture, and we'll be using GStreamer with the 1394 src plugin as our capture/feedback backend. I can't find any documentation about this BY8 format, and I wonder wether I will be able to switch modes or this operation will only be available through the camera's proprietary SDK. Can anyone shed some light on this, please? Thanks! [1] http://damien.douxchamps.net/ieee1394/cameras/ |
