The gscanbus misbehaviour could come from the driver problem with the Audigy card. However on the one 2.6 system I have set up I use gscanbus from a binary rpm of the distributor. This distro was already prepared for kernel 2.6, and (though I run a kernel.org kernel) gscanbus, libraries, kernel, and compiler are all in sync for me. > Are the edits to /etc/hotplug as documented on > Linux1394.org still required under 2.6, or is that now all built in > somewhere else? I don't want my edits causing problems. The fineprint in the linux1394.org FAQ reveals that the sbp2 agent script for hotplug is not necessary for kernel 2.6. (I won't even recommend it for kernel 2.4 since it can corrupt the scsi subsystem.) -- Stefan Richter -=====-=-=-- --== -=-== http://arcgraph.de/sr/ |
