Not necessarily! I'm working on this driver as I type - or I will be once my Linux box finishes its fs check (:
Following on from work done by a couple of others, I've been working mainly on the configuration side of things - adding support for the Wireless Extensions (see below) to the driver, such as setting Station Name, Password, Station Type and Hop Setting.
I haven't done much actual data transfer yet (!) but a friend of mine is more familiar with that aspect of the warplink interface and may well do further work on this in the near future.
The card currently works only with the PNP ISA card, which means a kernel with PNP support (2.2+ I think). Since I have a compatible card that I want to put in a PNP-less Linux router box, I'll probably have a look at a non-pnp variant too.
What would be good would be for someone to adapt it to work with the PC Card too - anyone got suitable knowledge of PC Card drivers? (We also plan to figure out the USB interface here sometime too).
I'll try to post the latest files soon as I've got things wrapped up to a reasonable point.
Hello,
It seems that the last message was posted a few months ago.
Is this project dead? Was something started?
I'm willing to help out with development, qa, documentation, installation scripts and more.
Bye,

I believe this project is dead. No one replied to my message. It is a pitty though. I wanted to get my cards to work under linux.
