You are right.
I'd ported kernel level floating point emulation into Linux-VR kernel
long time ago (it's already merged into linux-vr CVS).
It shoud work for hard-float compiled userland binaries of Debian.
Give it a try.

BTW, I'd been trying commit to cvs repositry, but it seems not working,
anyone knows why ?
