If it try and make my own ramdisk by modifying one of Brads I get a heap=20 error. ( Ive tried all the tips for hard reset and memory that I can find= ). I have managed to load a different prebuilt Brad kernel ( E105-slip ) and= got=20 this to boot then connected to that using slip ( I copied the parameters = from=20 the screen of the E105 and modified the ip addresses ). I managed to mount an NFS volume of my pc to the E105, but can only copy = tiny=20 files, it locks on anything bigger. ( whilst connected via slip ) I havent managed to work out how to build a kernel with a ramdisk which s= ets=20 up slip, so Im stuck at the moment with using the prebuilt ramdisks,=20 therefore I cant communicate with the E105 unless I use a prebuilt kernel. I cant powerdown, use the buttons or anything like that. oh and I killed my Microdrive-CF trying to use it with a Sandisk-adapter.= =20 Waaah! dids www.diddyland.com |

You're lucky, I use an E15, it boots ok open the console that's all. I can't do anything else, no calibrating touch panel, and the button don't work too. I can't power down E15. I've tryed a lot of configurations and I still search... (or searching ??? ouah poor english knowledge sorry.) Under windows ce I try to connect with linux ppp, it's work fine but after connection I can't do nothing too, it seems that they are no open port on windows ce, If someone known how to do to upload kernel under linux with ppp connection because it get's on my nerves to reboot under window each time I want to try a new kernel... Thanks very very very much (I've passed several days loocking how to do, I never found . I'm about to give up computering science... Please HELP!) Hi, Ive loaded up my E105 with linux it boots into microwindows and lets me calibrate the screen. then a load of apps appear, which are fairly messy I dont know what I should do next, ie i cant select a terminal or anything. What would be a good idea to do. Or should I load a different kernel ? regards dids |

This code is almost three times larger (adding about 80 bytes in size), and doesn't work much better, except maybe the pauses have reduced a won't-wake-from-sleep problem on some Agenda VR3 units, but it seems to work at least as well as the previous code did and is easier for me to read and adjust. |

Hi, This is probably not the right list for this question, but unfortunately I can't find anyone else who knows... I'm trying to build linux-vr for a custom little-endian platform running a 4kc core. I'm able to configure and run 'make dep' on the distribution, but unfortunately I start getting a lot of errors as soon as I try to do a 'make'. Which mips cross compiler do you recommend that I use for a generic little-endian elf format? Right now, I'm using the gnuPro mips distribution, which is based off gcc 2.96. One possible problem is that 2.4 kernels seem to not be buildable with gcc 2.96 (http://www.linuxdoc.org/FAQ/Linux-FAQ/x286.html). I was debating trying 2.95.3, but there don't seem to be any relevant mips targets. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions, I'd very much appreciate it. hey, i tried all 3 kernels i found here = ftp://ftp.ltc.com/pub/linux/mips/kernels/ the standard does nothing... only a tux in the upper left corner and a = blinking cursor. the mwin displays a little "window" screen and diffrent "demo-windows" = you can close .. but thats all! and the slip ends up with a console... asking me to enter the root = password ... but how should i do this without a keyboard?? i tried to connect via "hyper terminal" but i cant connect. so could now anyone help me?? WHAT have i to do to get a windowsCE like = linux on my pda running?!? - a linux with a on-screen keyboard ! :) i've read everywhere that they got it running... but not how!?=20 thanks |
