Seems a likely scenario.  JPEG images would be of course much smaller
than YUV which would be better over the 1.1 interface speed.

Hrm.  I can't seem to dig that up in Mandriva's distribution.  Can you
do a package listing of that package for me so I can see what files it
includes?

Hrm.  I have something called 1.99.1.  Not sure if that's an ekiga
release version of a vendor "mangled" version to represent a pre-2.0
release.
