There's a free client that you can download and test with if you want, and I have a technical contact there that listens with interest to these developments. Another is Flash (yes, Macromedia Flash). You can test the camera using e.g. www.flashmeeting.com (you can start a demo session without registering, but if you need to set up longer tests, contact me). I haven't managed to get a response from Macromedia on that point, though :-) Also, note that my patch did *nothing* to help me, so I'm not at all sure I did *anything* right... it's based on pure imitation. It's possible that using USB2 would help, as USB1.1 seems to force the cam into MJPEG mode, which it seems few or none of the v4l1 apps support. If I use USB2 I should get YUV from the cam even using the v4l1 compat layer, right?
