This solves the crash in the module! But now, uvcview complains as follows: maarten@aspire ~ $ uvcview uvcview verion 0.1.3 Video driver: x11 A window manager is available video /dev/video0 format asked unavailable get width 352 height 288 Unable to start capture: 5. Error grabbing Clean Up done Quit It seems like the driver or uvcview want a smaller picture than the cam provides. But I don't know the resolution of the cam in webcam mode. It might be VGA as that is what it does when recording movies. Best and thanks for your help so far. We're making progress!
