Currently the SDDR09 driver only supports reading from SmartMedia. Support for writing would improve the usefulness of these devices dramatically. Having to dual boot to Windows to write to the SmartMedia really kills the uptime stats. :-)

I don't have a Windows partition so I have no way to write
to the card. I have to put it back in the camera to delete
the files.
This is one of the times I really wish I could code.

I have a PDA that uses SmartMedia, and the only way to get large files onto it is with write via SDDR-09 (the SmartMedia is larger than the RAM in the PDA; can't load it via traditional means).
I also have a SmartMedia MP3 player that I'd really like to be able to load directly...
