I would guess it's just generated (there are standard algorithms for
creating guids).

Hmm, tricky.  Even though the disks are self-contained, I suppose it
must exist in Windows so it can tell which disks are its own, but I
haven't seen it.  I haven't really looked.  At worst case, you'll have
to import the "foreign" disks.

Is this program going to be GPLd?
