I have installed linux-ntfs twice on clean fedora core 3 installs and both times
I am able to read data off of my external firewire ntfs hard drive, but both
times I have serious stall issues as well. For example, if I attempt to copy
a medium to large amount of files from the NTFS volume to my linux drive, the
copy process will seemingly freeze up or stall quite a few times during the
entire process. During these times, there is no hard drive activity. If I
try to copy an album of MP3s for instance, I will normally see three mp3s copied,
a minute or two of delay, the next three mp3s are copied, so on and so forth.
Is this a known problem/bug? Can I do anything to alleviate this issue?
Thank you,
Taylor
