i have an roper roadsl2p-wg and it it's system logs you can see this :

PPPD Successfully Started
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Connection terminated.
pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0
Default Asymmetric MTU for ppp1 1500
....
then when i go to my network connection the gateway's name is "Local Area Connection su Linux IGD" which in english would be "Local Area Connection On Linux IGD" :P
Here is some more specific info:
Software Version: 3.6.0C
Firmware Version: 845G_ROP_112505.00FA
aren't they allowed to this to gpl ? plus that's the reason that my msn sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, because this 3 years old daemon still has some problems with it
