Hi, As nobody answers my silly questions I started to install Debian over the net (again as yesterday it crashed and PCMCIA eth card stopped working). System is installed now but with very few packets :(. The first question: is it possible to install PINE in Debian?? If I use 'apt-get install pine' I get message saying that apropriate package cannot be found due to some... circumstances. Another problem is that my PPC card is probably broken. During install I got few messages like that: Oops: kernel access of bad area, sig: 11 NP: (...) MSR: (..) DAR: (...) TASK= (...) 'sed' last syyscall: 3 Instead of task 'sed' it's sometimes 'grep'. I use 2.4.9 kernel (any newer doesn't work on my config). The question is - buggy kernel or hardware failure of memory, CPU etc.?? Third thing is gpm - I installed it and configured properly (when I use test form 'gpmconfig' mouse works fine but after finishing 'gpmconfig' script and restarting gpm server I can't use mouse). I noticed that gpm gets a lot of CPU (I checked with 'top') but mouse does't work. Any ideas?? -- Regards, Bartosz Sokolowski ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WOJNA stala sie faktem!
