A bit more info wouldn't hurt at all! What says the X error log
"/var/log/XFree86.0.log" (please
attach it), which kernel version do you use (I guess 2.2.10 or 2.4.20 which do
not have pci support compiled in), and what does the XF86Config in question
look like (especially the "Device" section).

But in general, glint would be the driver to use if you want hardware
acceleration
(which is, I guess, the one you are using, since you seem to have given a PCI bus ID).
