OK, I did this.

Did this too and got: 

Reading package Lists... Done
Building Dependency tree... Done
Package ksymoops has no available version, but exists in the database. This
typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and never
uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents of
sources.txt.
E: Package ksymoops has no installation candidate. 

What does that mean and what do I do now? 

I also tried a apt-get install man and that didn't succeed either (different
error).
