Hence it really failed in reading from the disk :-(

I did some Googling and apparently Linux supports sector sizes different from
512 bytes, but it failed for 4096 bytes:

Well, as a last resort I suggest to send a detailed message to
lin...@vg... (please cc linux-apus-devel) and hope something
