I want to go online with Debian!

Hi!

When I use KPPP to utilize my modem, the whole system freezes.
This happens to the 2.4.18-2 kernel. So it seems that the
serial port works better with the 2.2.10 kernel, how come?
Is this going to be fixed soon?

It's a pity that I can't use Debian to go online. I haven't
tested how well the serial port works with the latest 2.4
kernel, yet..

I also tried to compile my own kernel, but for me this was
a pain, but I will test this again in the future.

When will there be working joy support for the 2.4 kernel?
