Sometimes later... bug is still present. I think that the problem, in my case, was some X interactions. This because excluding step by step every possible source of problems (e.g. daemons like named etc) i have found that without X, using internet with, for example, ftp, cvs, and so on, none bug appeared. To say the true i haven't still stressed a lot the machine after the SCSI drive migration, but now i haven't found bugs during startup. Thinking better i had problems during startup! But this was an hardware problem : when in my Cyberstorm was broken the PPC MPU. The symptoms was that 68000 side was perfectly working but in the PPC side during Linux init the machine crashed. In the beginning only sometimes but at the end everytime. I hope this is not your case. Good Luck! Regards Giorgio |
