Hi Michel, On 07-Sep-02, you wrote: > One new problem is that I can't get XFree86-4 to run. Please >put up the log somewhere for us to look at.# I have included both my XFree86 config and the error log, as usual any help would be great. #As well as this problem my clock resets to 1902 when I boot into linux. Using AmigaOS the clock works perfectly and if i install potato, it worked flawlessly, but when I updated to woody everytime I boot up linux I get the message,# System clock was ....(the correct time and date is displayed) Setting system clock using HDclock System time is now ....(the date is now 1902 but the time is correct) I am sorry for all these questions but I am encountering problems at every turn with woody. (Potato installs and works great but no XFree86-4) PS. I have just now tried the 2.4.18-2 kernal from the apus site, but I can only get as far as the black screen with penguin at the top (now not in a grey box) and a flashing white curser. no text is printed to the screen as normal. Nothing else happens so I need to reboot. So near yet so far! I have included the dmesg if that may help. The dmesg _does_ get printed to the screen if I added console=tty0 to the bootstrap line.
