I guess the system wants to write back soft clock time to hardwrare clock, isn't it? What then happens when you boot back to AmigaOS, do you the have the wrong date? >> Thanks for the advise on updating the clock, >> I'll give this a try, but why is woody cocking things up? (ie. the > clock) I don't know, it's not normal behaviour (as you can imagine ;) ). I suggest going with woody right from the start, using the "set date" method I told you about, and leaving out the step with potato. Do a direct woody installation, and we'll see if it works then. Was it you which had problem booting 2.4.x kernels? Then go for 2.2.10 with woody (but the one from the APUS page, not debian directory), or try the latest 2.4.18-2 with disabled pci (but enabled cybppc scsi!). Try it, and please report if it works. -- Good luck, best wishes, Andi |
