APUS kernel with working ppp and sound

Hi!

Do you know which of the 2.4.x Apus kernels
works best?

2.4.18-1 works quite good except that I haven't
been able to enable any modules with this kernel.

I want a kernel which has ppp and sound compiled
in the kernel, since activating modules don't
work on my system.
