Hi I wondered if it would be possible to turn off hearbeat (well just the blinking LED in fact). I have read kernel-options.txt but no luck. Once someone told me (was it Michel ;) ) that kernels can be compiled without heartbeat, but recompiling the kernel is definitely not the answer I want to hear.. ;) It's not that I don't like heartbeat, it's really useful if nothing reacts anymore, and, gush, look at heartbeat, and you can immediately decide wether to power-cycle the machine or not. Well, btw. since running debian and kernel 2.4.17, no need to do any hard resets at all! Good team!! But it's kind of making me nervous seeing the LED blinking in the corner of my eyes. Btw: AFAIK let the power LED blink is directly coupled with the low-pass filter. Isn't there any danger for it when switching it on and off so often? -- Thanks in advance, as always, and wish you a good day, Andi |
