RE:/usr partition lost because of dead drive ...

Hi, 

I posted this before, but still couldn't recover my Woody ...
Even my /usr partition is lost I have my .deb packages under
/var/cache/apt/archives, is it possible to restore it by reinstalling
those packages ? and if it is what do I need to uncompress .deb ?
What is the safest way ?
