Seriously though, it's certainly not about "I report a problem and you
fix it for me". Which doesn't mean we don't try to.

Probably, it's great that you're working on it! I didn't mean to say you
were supposed to fix the X problem. If other people were working on it
as you are on the SCSI driver, there wouldn't be a problem.
