Hi, Is there a way to recover a Woody system with kernel 2.4.18, if the /usr partition was on a dead drive if I still have /var ? or should I forget all about it and reinstall a new Woody system ? My computer A1200 T, PPC 175 040 25 64 Mb RAM CV64 3d 1 HD 6.4 with Amiga OS 3.9 and Debian 1 HD 2.5 Dead ---> used to be boot drive 1 HD 4 Gb Replaced dead HD, has 2 partitions 1 Amiga native with OS 3.9 and the rest waiting to be /usr I'm concerned If I have to install a fresh Debian Woody, because the installer didn't like my CV643d and the only way I had to install Debian was by installing Potato and then upgrading everything to Woody a cumbersome and very tedious task ! TIA, Rick |
