No, I have a BlizzPPC 175 with and 040, but now I upgraded to the 2.4.18-1 kernel, and some kernel panics disappeared, at least there are less of them ... Another problem happened, I managed to start Gnome but if I try the slightest thing related to eth0, say a ping to my public ip, it freezes and locks up ! I've tried apt-get update, and it failed to fetch anything (like when the network is down), the strange thing is I did netstat -nat and it is listening on many ports, and the network is working perfectly under init 1, but when going into init 2 and load Gnome, stops working, it's a pain, I have to be very careful because, otherwise it freezes and locks ! I'm considering an overheating problem, I have a big fan cooler, brand new, but I don't know how to fit it in the tiny space the blizzPPC has, and if it's better to just glue the fan or add the whole thing. Thank you anyway ;) Regards, Rick > > Needless to say, the PPC chip did give up the ghost...oh well nothing lasts > forever. > > Adam |
