Have you set the root=3D/dev/hdxy correctly? It may differ from what you = have been using with LinuxPPC. Did you partition the harddisk from the AmigaOS side (that is the correct way)? > I'm not able to unpack the 2.4.17 archive from sf.net as both lha and l= zx > give errors. Huh? Which kernel have you tried to unpack? 2.4.17 or 2.4.17-3? 2.4.17-3 = is packed with lha6, 2.4.17 seems to be packed with lha7 which gives you an error if you are using the AmigaOS Unarc or some older lha/lzx unpacker..= But as I said, 2.4.17-3 should be unpackable by every user, as Michel has bee= n so kind an packed it with lha6 and not the latest lha7! >> What kernel are you using ? I did a woody installation from CD a while >> ago, and the kernel on the CD paniced when I tried to boot from HD. Us= ing >> one of the latest prebuilt kernels on linux-apus.sf.net when I booted = from >> HD worked fine, and the installation finished without any problems... And oh, btw, does it say anything than just panicing? Maybe you should ad= d -d debug to your bootstrap arguments. --=20 Kind regards, Andi |
