Hi Andi, Thanks a lot for your help !!!! I've finally managed to do an installation using kernel 2.4.9, still having some issues with the post installation, I could also made it work under CV643D! :) still some issues though, installing drivers and configuring them, it doesn't recognize the boot floppy "rescue.bin" and it exits. After that i was able to configure the system, but it has some post inst nasty error "after a while doing configuration" apt-get crashes with error "kernel panic", so I couldn't finished my installation, I'm issueing dpkg-reconfigure base-config. BTW which packages do u recommend for a stable version, that can be easily upg ? > Well, first sorry for my late answer, network probs and a lot of stuff to do.. hmmm typical, I know what you mean I'm having a nightmare configuring a simple 5 machine win and a Linux gateway at the office ... > > Hmm, to be honest, I don't know how to fix your graphics problem, but there > are others with your config which have reportedly working machines! Don't worry I think it has to be reported as a bug, because kernel 2.4.9 didn't have it ... > > Concerning the woody installation: the nasty bug in the boot-floppies > of the initialization of a Linux partition with kernel 2.4.17-apus (the > only one which supports dhcp AND x-surf) has been fixed, I just betatested the > new version.
