Kernel 2.2.10 which is included in the potato as well as in the woody
boot-floppies doesn't support the X-Surf. For this to work, you have to use
the latest 2.4.17 kernel, which, on the other hand may not work with the
current woody boot-floppies. But you can easily workaround by initializing your
root partition with kernel 2.4.9 or by hand with mke2fs
/dev/yourharddiskpartition on virtual console 2 (but thats of course not the
behaviour it should have, but the bug was backtraced and is intended to be fixed in
the next build).

Maybe you are suffering from too short filenames under affs, or
case-insensitivity (unlikely). But the line you provided above doesn't seem to
have a too long file name.

I don't know if they are properly handled under affs? Or am I now telling
something stupid?

Sorry, but I don't know about the rest! Someone more experienced  has to comment
on this.
