First off same machine and PPC + BVision ;-)

I boot-up mine with the following lines:

*os2linux:2.4.4/* 
(just to get into the correct dir before booting)
then I do:
*bootstrap --apus -k vmapus-2.4.4 root=/dev/hda2
video=pm2fb:mode:1024x768-70 noscsi 60nsram* 
(the noscsi because I also have a power flyer i/f - not yet supported)

Version 4 is much better and faster and can be d/loaded on the linux
side from on of the servers using apt, once you have your connection
working of course.
I don't know what you are using to configure and connect to the net. I
use pppd and you should use a 2.4* version, if you don't have it I can
mail it to you.
