Hi Alan, Thanks for the information. I'll change my bootstap line accordingly. Firstly I think I need to get hold of Xfree4. I've not yet used Linux to access the net and don't know the address to get hold of Xfree4 anyway. I will work on getting linux online but I was wondering if I could download the stuff I need using the amiga and then use apt-get to install it off my hd. I don't want to download the files i need and then make a cock up and then have to go about downloading it all over again.( I believe it's over 20mb) I have a ffs partition that Linux can access. If I can do this, where do I get hold of XFree4, I know it will be on a Debian site somewhere but I'm not totally sure what I'm looking for or where to look. Any help with an uptodate address would be great. I have found an address at ftp.us.debian.org/XFree86/ that has different versions but I'm unsure whether these are for Intel machines or would be suitable for my Miggy. I don't want to make a huge download for nothing. If I'm going about this in totally the wrong way, can someone tell me. Regards, Dave ( jo...@co... ) I like pigs. Dogs look up to us.
